Thesis and Dissertation Milestone Reports
To initiate MS and PhD Milestone Reports where all participants sign the report electronically within their internet browser, either the student or a department representative must fill out and submit the GSO Milestone Initiation Request Form, available below. Once the request has been received, GSO will fill out and upload the corresponding report to DocuSign in order to start the process of collecting all required signatures. The report will be emailed automatically to one participant at a time for their in-browser electronic signature based on the order of participant names shown on the report.
NOTE: The PhD Qualifying Examination Report can only be initiated by a faculty member.
The timeline for PhD program milestones is as follows:

The Graduate Studies Office is not involved with Graduate Changes of Program, Approval for Undergraduates to Register for Graduate Courses (except for 700-level courses which require approval from the Vice Provost), or Course Repetition. Information about those processes can be found on the Policies and Procedures section of the NJIT Graduate Catalog, and the forms associated with those processes can be found on the forms section of the Registrar's website.
